Who would’ve thought? Crypto ETFs are on fire! Bitcoin ETFs closed their third consecutive week of gains, bringing in a staggering $1.81 billion between April 28 and May 2. And let’s not forget, there was a slight midweek hiccup (but who’s counting that?).
So, here’s the fun part: the big winner of the week was none other than Blackrock’s IBIT, which pulled in a jaw-dropping $2.48 billion on its own. I mean, talk about making it rain. Friday, May 2, was the absolute jackpot, with the strongest single-day net inflow of the week—$674.91 million. The only down day? Wednesday—because why not throw a little drama in the mix? 😏
Now, while some major ETFs were taking a nosedive (hello Ark 21shares’ ARKB at -$457.64 million, Fidelity’s FBTC at -$201.09 million, and a bunch of others that aren’t worth the emotional energy), IBIT’s massive haul kept the whole thing looking pretty solid. Plus, there were some minor positive contributions from Grayscale’s Mini BTC Trust, Vaneck’s HODL, and Invesco’s BTCO. But really, who’s keeping track of the small fries?
And don’t look now, but Ether ETFs are also getting their act together. They pulled in $106.75 million in net inflows this week. Blackrock’s ETHA was the big winner here too, with $87.57 million, followed by Fidelity’s FETH at $37.79 million. Of course, not everyone was thrilled—Grayscale’s ETHE and Bitwise’s ETHW saw some outflows. I’m sure they’re just pretending it didn’t happen. 🙄
