Right. So, Monday in Delhi. Apparently, someone – and I use that term loosely – decided 32 schools werenāt having enough fun. Sent everyone into a delightful spin with a little email promising delightful explosions. Seriously? Explosions? š
This āTerrorizers 111 Groupā – honestly, the name aloneā¦- wanted five grand in crypto. Like, seriously? Five grand for a bit of digital mischief? Bit low effort, wouldn’t you say? They claimed to have planted pipe bombs and, get this, “advanced explosive devices.” Pretty dramatic. The police, thankfully, had a look around and discovered⦠absolutely nothing. A complete waste of everyoneās time. But hey, at least the cyber forensic teams have something to do, chasing digital ghosts.
Threats, Threats, and More Threats
The email was, as you’d expect, a masterclass in passive-aggressive terror. āPay up or BOOM!ā (Iām paraphrasing, obviously). Apparently, evacuating was key. And absolutely *no* contacting the authorities. Because that would just ruin the fun, wouldnāt it? They even threw in a little “we don’t forgive, we don’t forget” for good measure. Peak villain vibes. š
Oh, and they apparently hacked the schools. Stole data. Took control of the cameras. Like a really sad, low-budget heist movie. Probably run by someone in their bedroom, letās be real.
Global School, BGS International, Dwarka International – the whole lot were affected. A lovely little geography lesson in Delhi panic.
DPS Dwarka, bless them, actually closed up shop and sent the kids home. Sensible. Parents were, understandably, a teensy bit stressed. Which, honestly, is a perfectly reasonable reaction to receiving a bomb threat email.
Groundhog Day of Bomb Scares
Turns out, this wasnāt exactly a one-off. July saw 45 schools and three colleges get the same charming little email. All equally false. Youād think they’d get bored eventually. Apparently not. š¤·āāļø
So now, everyone’s trying to stay calm. (Good luck with that.) And the cybercrime department is on the hunt for āThe Terrorizers 111 Groupā. Honestly, more power to them. But I suspect this is going to be a long, frustrating process. Justā¦a thought.
