Postal Theft Ring Stole Checks & Money Orders: Feds Step In, Facing $1M Fine & 30 Years in Prison!

Well, well, well… it seems we’ve got ourselves a band of thieves who thought they could sneak their way into mailboxes and make off with checks and money orders. Surprise, surprise – it didn’t go as planned.

The three musketeers, Lamarious Bradley, Lucius Bradley, and Chad Brown, are now facing some seriously big charges. If convicted, they could be looking at up to 30 years in prison and a fine of $1 million. Yes, you read that right-ONE MILLION DOLLARS. I guess that’s the price for bad mail habits. 🏛️

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo is making it crystal clear that these three geniuses weren’t exactly being subtle. On November 28th, 2023, it was reported that blue collection boxes in Irondequoit and Brighton, New York, had been mysteriously “opened” during the early morning hours. Was it a random act of kindness? Of course not-video surveillance caught them in action. No surprise there!

And wait for it… on December 4th, our favorite trio was back at it again. This time, they were caught red-handed-well, blue-boxed actually-removing mail. Same car, same suspects. It’s almost like they thought they could get away with it. Spoiler alert: they didn’t. 🕵️‍♀️

By December 7th, authorities had had enough of the “wild west” mailbox crime spree and executed a search warrant at the men’s residence. And guess what? Along with the stolen checks, they found a handgun, ammunition, marijuana, and about $1,400 in money orders. Can’t forget the “Exclusive Snacks and Lounge” where they were caught on camera sorting out the stolen loot. So, you know, there’s that.

Oh, and if you think that was the end of it, think again! Investigators found text messages where the masterminds were happily chatting about their mailbox escapades. I’m sure they were just bragging about their *superb* heist strategy. 😏
