Google security researchers discovered a sophisticated hacking tool called Coruna that targets iPhones. It uses a combination of 23 security flaws to compromise devices running older versions of iOS (from 13.0 to 17.2.1) and steal private information, like cryptocurrency wallet access keys. First detected in February 2025, Coruna was initially used for government surveillance, but later appeared on fake crypto websites to trick people into giving up their financial details. Apple has fixed these security holes in recent iOS updates, and Google recommends that users update their software or activate Lockdown Mode to stay safe.
