BlackRock Heart Eyes for Bitcoin?! 🤑

Right, so, despite all the drama and everyone flapping about like headless chickens 🐔 on the market, Bitcoin ETFs are, like, totally back in the positive. And guess who’s leading the charge? BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), naturally. Show off. 😉

Apparently, according to Lookonchain (whoever they are, probably some genius in their PJs 🤔), IBIT had the biggest one-day inflow of all the Bitcoin ETFs. Added 455 BTC, darling! That brings their grand total to 571,869 BTC. Beat that, losers! 😜 All those other ETFs are probably green with envy.

Fidelity’s FBTC, the second-best Bitcoin ETF, just sat there doing nothing. How boring! 😴 ARK 21Shares (ARKB) managed a pathetic 160 BTC. Bitwise (BITB) did slightly better with 131 BTC. Meanwhile, Grayscale’s GBTC is still hemorrhaging money, with an outflow of 8 BTC in one day and a whopping 1,137 BTC over the week. Ouch! 🤕

So, yeah, Bitcoin ETFs had a net inflow of 672 BTC, which is like, $56.38 million. But the week is still in the red at -2,794 BTC (around $234 million). Oh well, can’t win them all, can you? 🤷‍♀️

Bitcoin is currently trading around $84,391, after a bit of a rollercoaster ride. The chart looks like someone had a seizure. 🤪 Weekly net inflows into Bitcoin ETFs are $77.89 million, but who knows what will happen tomorrow? 🔮

BlackRock and Bitcoin: Inside story

Since BlackRock is back in the Bitcoin ETF game, let’s have a peek at their Q1 report, shall we? Apparently, $3 billion of their $107 billion ETF inflows came from digital asset products under the iShares line. Fancy! 💅

They made $34 million in fees from Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. That’s less than 1% of their total revenue! Still, it’s more than I made today. 😩 The digital asset AUM reached $50.3 billion, which is only 0.5% of BlackRock’s total $11.6 trillion assets under management. So, Bitcoin is basically just a tiny blip on their radar. But a fabulous blip, naturally. ✨
