BTC: Oh So Close Yet So Far!
Last week was a wild ride for our beloved Bitcoin, bouncing between $85,000 and $90,000 like it’s auditioning for a role in an action movie. Just when we thought it found its footing, it nosedived to $84,400 after some less-than-stellar CPI news. Classic crypto! 🎭
It looked like it was on the mend and even flirted with $90,400, but then, surprise! The bears showed up, taking Bitcoin on another unexpected trip down to below $87,000. Honestly, can someone tell these bears to chill? 🐻
Christmas passed quietly-too quietly, if you ask me. Bitcoin tried to break out again on Friday but got rejected faster than a bad date. One minute it was flirting with $90,000, and the next, it was crashing down to $86,500. Just a minor setback, right? Now it’s back above $87,000, but still down 1.5% for the day. Sigh. 😩
At least its market cap is hanging in there at just under $1.750 trillion, and it’s still holding onto a mighty 57.5% dominance over the altcoins. For now. 🍵
ZEC: The Overachiever!
While Ethereum is stuck in limbo below $3,000, Zcash (ZEC) is out there partying, soaring by over 13% and swinging past $500 like it owns the place! 🎉 Talk about being the life of the crypto party! 🥳
XRP is still sulking below its $1.90 support, while DOGE is having a rough time, dropping the most among the larger caps. Poor thing. 😢
On the bright side, XMR and HYPE are making small gains, and RAIN is doing a little happy dance with a 10% daily pump. It’s a mixed bag in the crypto carnival! 🎪
Despite all the ups and downs, the total crypto market cap remains above the $3 trillion mark, although it did shed $40 billion since yesterday’s peak. Ouch! 💸
