In a rather alarming turn of events, the illustrious @susbarium X account has taken it upon themselves to address the Shiba Inu community with a rather urgent missive regarding a new scam project that has audaciously set its sights on our beloved SHIB enthusiasts. One can only imagine the gall of these nefarious tricksters!
This time, the scoundrels have chosen to masquerade as a major partner of Shiba Inu, the Bad Idea AI (BAD) project. Oh, the irony! A bad idea indeed, but not the one they had in mind.
To safeguard the noble SHIB holders, the post from @susbarium is replete with signs to help identify this dastardly scam, along with specific guidance on how to keep one’s crypto safe from the clutches of these digital brigands. Because, let’s face it, who wants to be the next victim of a crypto heist?
Signs of the New Scam Targeting the SHIB Army
These charlatans are targeting our community by impersonating SHIB’s partner, Bad Idea AI, through a spurious portal that offers the tantalizing prospect of claiming fake BAD token rewards. It’s a classic case of “connect your wallet and pray for the best,” which, as we all know, is a recipe for disaster.
🚨SCAM ALERT🚨
Stay vigilant! There’s a scam targeting our community through a fake claim portal for BAD token rewards. The fraudulent site is trying to trick users into connecting wallets under false pretences.
🔴 Signs of the Scam:
– Fake claim portal that mimics the…— Susbarium | Shibarium Trustwatch (@susbarium) May 27, 2025
In their infinite wisdom, @susbarium has shared three additional signs of this scam. The portal, in a rather pathetic attempt at authenticity, mimics the design of the official BAD website. It audaciously requests that users connect their wallets to verify their BAD rewards. The pièce de résistance? This website issues “misleading messages suggesting eligibility verification before claiming tokens.” Because who doesn’t love a good ruse?
Thus, @susbarium warns us all: it is imperative not to connect wallets to suspicious crypto websites. The second rule, which should be tattooed on the foreheads of all crypto enthusiasts, is to “verify official announcements from trusted sources before making transactions.” A novel idea, indeed!
Lastly, it is of utmost importance to report scams to SHIB community moderators and to warn fellow SHIB holders. After all, sharing is caring, especially when it comes to avoiding financial ruin!
