Binance Drops 5 Crypto Tokens-Here’s How to Panic

Breaking news: Binance has decided to throw five crypto tokens out of its digital buffet, and no one’s sure why. It’s like a high school cafeteria, but with more volatility and fewer nachos.

The crypto exchange has announced it’s delisting and ceasing trading on all spot pairs for five tokens on May 27 at 3 AM UTC. The tokens in question? Automata (ATA), Harvest Finance (FARM), Enzyme (MLN), Phoenix (PHB), and Syscoin (SYS). Because apparently, they’re not “cool” enough for the big leagues.

Binance will delist ATA, FARM, MLN, PHB, and SYS.

Binance claims this decision is based on their “recent reviews.” Let’s just say, if your token isn’t making the cut, it’s probably because it’s not as shiny as the others. Or maybe it’s just not a fan of the algorithm.

Binance will also terminate Trading Bot services for these tokens on May 27 at 3 AM UTC. Users are strongly advised to update and/or cancel their Trading Bots before the cessation of services to avoid “potential losses.” Which, honestly, sounds like a warning from a parent who’s seen too many YouTube tutorials.

Dates to note

Deposits of the tokens will stop after May 28 at 3 AM UTC, while withdrawals will be unsupported after May 27 at 3 AM UTC. Because Binance can’t handle the stress of your money anymore.

Binance Spot Copy Trading will delist the tokens on May 20 at 3 AM UTC. Delisted tokens may be converted into stablecoins on behalf of users after May 28 at 3 AM UTC. Because nothing says “we care” like a forced currency swap.

Binance Futures will close all positions and conduct an automatic settlement on the contracts of these tokens on May 19 at 9 AM UTC. The contracts will be delisted after the settlement is complete. Users are advised to close open positions before the delisting time to avoid automatic settlement. Or, you know, just let the system handle it like a bad dating app match.

Binance Margin will delist the tokens from Cross and Isolated Margin on May 19 at 10 AM UTC. Because chaos is the only way to go.
