This signal is called the “golden cross” – not because it’s made of gold, but because it’s a fancy term for when the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) does a little dance with the 200-day equivalent 💃. And when it does, big things can happen! (Or not. But that’s not as exciting, is it?)
The Golden Cross is Back, Baby! 🎉
Crypto trader Merlijn is all like, “Hey, the golden cross is back!” and we’re all like, “Ooh, what’s gonna happen now?” 🤔 Well, apparently, when it showed up in 2016, bitcoin went up 139%. But currently, analysts are all, “Hey, bitcoin’s fundamentals are looking good!” which means it’s like having a healthy appetite for more – in this case, more money 💸.
Rekt Capital, a market analyst, says, “Hey, bitcoin needs to close above $120,000 and do a little retest dance to reach new highs 💃”. And right now, it’s just chillin’, consolidating, and letting the altcoins have their fun 🤪.
